Slightly hazy, but still beautiful view from Victoria Peak

Mmm. Dim sim. Restaurants in HK are known to be freezing, we've got our jackets on.

A series of escalators connect Central to the Mid-Levels. Along the way are shops, galleries and restaurants. Great way to check out the city without too much walking.

We took the Star Ferry from Central to Kowloon. Me trying to get a decent pic of the HK skyline

Sunday

Sai Kung, Lunch at the Hong Kong Jockey Club, Kowloon

We took a morning trip to Sai Kung, which is a sleepy fishing village in the New Territory. I watched a seafood vendor work on his small boat off of the pier, preparing for the morning market. Each colorful bin contained a different kind of seafood.

And he just kept on pulling up buckets and buckets of different stuff.

Now it's filled!

All sorts of sea creatures waiting to be eaten.

Pretty shells. Wait, you can eat them too!

Wednesday

Wednesday was a shopping day. We went to Kowloon and browsed the Jade Market as well as Temple Street Night Market. In between, we took a break and had afternoon tea at the famed Peninsula Hotel in Kowloon side. So very British!

Don't you just love those little white hexagonal "pot holder"?

Welcome to Macau! All of the signs are in Chinese, Portugese (and sometimes English).

Buddhist statue in the harbor - the last gift from Portugal in 1996 (it's prettier than the gift from China).

A temple complex, 3 temples built into a hillside - notorious for pick pockets!
